Fundraising Music Festival 2026: Midsummer Piano Cup - Keys to Imagination
A festival-style piano competition celebrating musical growth, artistry, and social good
C Piano Bath – Midsummer Piano Cup 2026 is a thoughtfully curated piano event taking place on 14 June at Prior Park, designed to celebrate young pianists in a supportive, festival-style environment. While the event includes structured age-group awards, its core focus is on musical expression, personal development, and community values.
Participants are recognised not only for technical achievement, but also for artistry, discipline, resilience, and emotional communication. Alongside traditional Gold, Silver, and Bronze trophies for each age group, the judges will present Judges’ Distinction Awards that highlight individual musical strengths and personal journeys.
Every participant receives:
-
An elegant participation certificate
-
A small symbolic music-themed keepsake
-
A personalised written comment sheet from the judges, focusing on strengths, progress, and encouragement
Selected prize-winners will be invited to perform in a church charity Christmas concert, offering a meaningful performance opportunity beyond the competition itself.
The event also incorporates a gentle charitable dimension, aiming to connect musical excellence with social impact. Proceeds will contribute directly towards sponsoring piano lesson for children in need, under the C Piano Family, in support of Music of Life charity.
C Piano Bath – Midsummer Piano Cup is independently organised, with adjudication conducted impartially. Charity partners are invited collaborators and do not influence judging outcomes.
Guest Performer and Partner Adjudicator - Peter Hutchison is a pianist, composer and arranger studying BA Music at Bath Spa University. He has been playing piano since the age of seven and enjoys inspiring young musicians through approachable, creative performances.

Every Child
C Piano Events are designed to connect music education with compassion and community impact. Alongside celebrating young musicians, our exclusive events aim to gently raise awareness and support for organisations working with children and families. Charity partners are invited to participate in a way that feels appropriate and respectful — for example, by attending as special guests, presenting a values-based award, or briefly sharing their work with attendees. Our intention is not high-pressure fundraising, but meaningful presence, visibility, and alignment of values.
